Drainage and Re-seeding Works at the Club!

Updated by: Peter Jovanovic 15/05/2010

This is a taster of what goes on in the off season in order to improve our ground come the rigours of winter and the deluge of rain that seems to happen more frequently:

And a few words of righteouness from Scotty:

CRFC Training Area re seeded 5th May 2010. Will it be fit to train on this winter ????? Weather permitting, Yes!!

8th May 2010, 1st and 2nd team pitches aggressively harrowed to create crumb to over seed thin areas. Soggy areas on 1st team pitches excavated and loam replaced with new seed.

I will take all the credit if it goes well and blame the weather if it fails. Yes I am a farmer !!

Thanks are also extended from the club for their kind sponsorship of these works to Bill Thompson for supplying the time and equipment to sub soiling and aerate.

And to Andy Clarke for supplying the bit of kit to harrow the pitches suitably.
