CRFC Under 9 

U9 The challenge for this age group is to ensure a smooth transition from Tag rugby in the under 8s to the first stages of the full contact game. We work on tackling skills and the basic scrummaging, ruck and maul techniques as well as the usual ball handling and positioning drills. We have a full program of Skills Development Days, competitive matches and tournaments throughout the season. The Rugby Continuum for 2008/09 sets out the rules and regulations for the U9s.

The emphasis throughout is for the boys and girls to enjoy their rugby while at the same time learning the basic skills and gaining an aptitude for the game. We also expect that everyone observe a Code of Conduct when watching and playing for Cranbrook RFC. Training sessions and games at home will be at the club every Sunday morning from 10.00-12.00.
